Is it possible to make a single core computer a (dual/duo) core proccesor?

Im getting my son a laptop with a single core proccesor, and hes worried about his computer being to slow, so can you turn a single core into a dual core? His a big gamer to.

You cant upgrade laptops like that. most don’t allow the CPU to be changed. sorry. And I wouldn’t buy a laptop for games. you have to spend at least $1100 for one to run games decent, even then there’s the heat and battery issue, and your lil big gamer would pretty much burn it out before its time. Get a desktop, those are cheaper per performance than laptops. a dual core desktop can be bought for about 600. laptop $800 – $1000!
