is there anything like a cord that you can plug into your guitar and computer and record your song clearly? ?
and that you can layer vocals as well?
If you have an electric guitar, I think you can connect it to a TRS to 3.5mm minijack adapter, and then to the audio in on your computer. For acoustic guitars, you can use a microphone, and then connect that to the adapter, and finally, your computer. For voice, if you have a microphone that uses XLR interface, then you can get an adapter for XLR to USB, or XLR to 3.5mm, with the adapter for USB providing better sound. There are programs out there that can layer vocals over other tracks. For Mac, GarageBand will do just fine. For Mac and PC, there’s Adobe Soundbooth, and Audacity. Audacity is free, but Soundboth CS3 costs $196 (the newer CS4 version costs a dollar more at $197).
